
Kit Yan, Associate Partner
For the last two decades, Kit has directed the development of construction documents and contract administration at Sage and Coombe Architects. He has guided a series of award-winning projects that include the multi-year, three-phase design and construction of the Noguchi Museum in Long Island City, the expansion and renovation of the Greater Newark Conservancy, FDNY Engine Company 293 firehouse, the FDNY Marine 9 Company Barracks, and the Bronx River Art Center.
He has overseen the phased expansion and construction at the City & Country School in Greenwich Village, and in response to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, he ran the reconstruction of the Rockaways Beaches for Sage and Coombe in collaboration with the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Mayor’s Office, and the Department of Design and Construction.
Born in Hong Kong, Kit was raised and educated in New York City. He has practiced architecture for nearly thirty years with a focus on construction-phase management and administration. Kit has a BA from the Parsons School of Design and a Masters in Architecture from Columbia Graduate School of Architecture and Planning.
